What's in a Name? ~ Cat Tales (Tails!)

Wondering why we're called Precious Penelope Designs?  I would be, if I were you! And no, my name isn’t Penelope. ;)

Between 2009 and 2010, my husband and I rescued three farm kittens.  Each was the last of their litter, and they have the same mother.  Not sure about the father...male cats are real dogs (ha!).

The oldest two are boys, grey and white in color, named Leopold and Maximillian. The youngest is a precocious, precious long-haired calico princess named Elizabeth (see where I'm going with this?).

I'm pretty sure we aren't the only humans owned by our cats, and I'm just as sure that we aren't the only ones to bestow numerous nicknames on our furbabies.

Elizabeth, being the diva that she is, has the fluffiest tail we've ever seen and she swishes it around in the air with great pride and flourish for all to admire as she passes by. In her mind, she knows she is royalty and expects her subjects to be suitably impressed.

To sum it all up and finish this tail tale, we started calling her “Princess,” then added “Precious,” and “Penelope,” and “Poofytail.” They ended up strung together like this: "Precious Princess Penelope Poofytail."

Since “Poofytail” doesn’t really work as a business name, "Precious Penelope" was born. And the logo just had to be our princess’s silhouette...poofytail and all.
